Statement Of Purpose

The Yelverton Nursing and Residential Home is a privately owned Care Home registered for thirty three residents over the age of 65. Five of those registered places may be used for residents with a form of dementia. Nursing care can be provided. We have two double rooms available in the Home that may only be occupied by either married couples or couples who have been cohabiting prior to moving into the Home.

Our philosophy is to provide a safe and comfortable environment where the individual needs of each resident, whether those needs are physical, social, emotional, spiritual or cultural are of prime importance.

Our residents and their families, where appropriate, will be encouraged to participate in the planning of their care and in the regular review of their planned care.

Quality of life is paramount and we will respect our resident’s privacy and dignity and we encourage our residents to remain as independent as possible. Residents are encouraged to participate in the planned activity programme which will provide social interaction with other residents, self esteem and a sense of fulfilment.

All staff within the Home are trained to deliver the highest standard of care in a compassionate and caring way. A continuous training programme and audit process is in place to ensure that these high standards are maintained in line with best practise and appropriate legislation.
